Red Arrows and Zesco to learn CAF interclub opponents on Thursday

The draw for the preliminary stage of the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup will be held tomorrow.

The CAF has scheduled the draw of the preliminary stages of the CAF 2024/25 Interclub season for July 11, 2024.

The draw will be held at the CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, and will be broadcast live on CAF TV, the organization’s official YouTube channel, at 15:00 local time (12:00 GMT).

The CAF Champions League will involve 59 clubs from 47 African countries, while the CAF Confederation Cup will include 52 clubs from 41 countries.

Zambia will be represented by MTN/FAZ Super League champions, Red Arrows FC while Zesco who finished second in the league will compete in the Confederations Cup.

Al Ahly SC are the reigning winners of the CAF Champions League after winning their record-extending 12th title last season.

Their archrivals Zamalek also won the CAF Confederation Cup for the second time.
