Chipolopolo and TP Mazembe legend Rainford Kalaba has backed Power Dynamos to beat Tanzania’s Simba SC this weekend in the second leg of their CAF Champions League tie this weekend.

Dynamos has a huge mountain to climb after being held to a 2-2 draw at home in the first leg. They scored through Joshua Mutale and Cephas Mulombwa, but their efforts were quashed by Clatous Chama, who netted a brace to level the score.

With a strong showing needed in order to progress to the next rounds, Kalaba tells BolaNews that it’s not over yet for Aba Yellow and FC Muza, who will also play Diables Noirs on Sunday in the CAF Confederations Cup.

MUZA came up short in the CAF Confederations Cup, losing 2-1 at home. They will need to overturn that deficit to remain in the competition.

“Both teams stand a good chance… Anything can happen in football,” he said. “It’s tough to predict for both teams….. But they know how crucial these games are, not just to themselves but to the country as well.”

‘Forget the first leg’ – Kalaba tips Dynamos and Muza

In order to get a positive result away from home, Kalaba believes the two teams should put behind the first-leg results and focus on the second-leg ties.

“The first game is like the first half, so they should just believe and prepare their minds because playing away in Africa is not easy,” said the 2012 Africa Cup winner.

Kalaba who won both the CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup with TP Mazembe, further told BolaNews that a comeback is possible.

“We [TP Mazembe] had many impossible situations to come back from in these competitions. I can’t even remember because there were many …[A come back] is possible,” he said.

A slender 1-0 victory or a draw of more than 2 goals in Tanzania will guarantee Aba Yellow a group stage berth in the Champions League.

MUZA, on the other hand, need to score two or more unanswered goals to progress to the next round.

Both games will be played on Sunday in Tanzania and Congo Brazzaville respectively.
