Veteran coach Dan Kabwe has urged Power Dynamos to put their RS Berkane defeat behind them and focus entirely on Saturday’s home clash against CAF defending champions Pyramids FC.
Power Dynamos endured a tough start to their CAF Champions League campaign after losing 3-0 to RS Berkane over the weekend. The defeat leaves them joint bottom of Group A alongside Nigeria’s River United, who also lost 3-0 to Pyramids FC.
Speaking exclusively to Bolanews, Kabwe said Power Dynamos must improve, stating it’s possible they can beat Pyramids.
“It is a wake-up call for power dynamos; they need to raise the standard. Where they are is no child’s play. It was water under the bridge; they have to pick up the pieces. There are so many lessons learned. Work on your weakness,” he said.
“Pyramids is a different ball game. You are our flag carrier, and we believe in you. For your next game in front of your supporters, prepare well. It is not an easy game, but with proper planning we can get the points at home,” he added.
“They deserved to be in this group. What they need is to raise the standard and be counted among the best,” he concluded.
The Zambian champions will host Pyramids FC of Egypt on Saturday at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
