Makundika Sakala, a former striker for Zanaco football team, believes that both Power Dynamos and Zesco United have a possibility to improve in their respective CAF competitions, but they need to reorganize.
The two Zambian envoys are winless without a single point in their first two opening group fixtures.
Super league defending champions, Power Dynamos lost 3-0 to RS Berkane in an away group opener, before a 1-0 home defeat to current defending champions Pyramids FC at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
While Zesco United lost 1-0 to away at Zamalek in their opening match and 3-2 defeat to Al-Masry, at home.
In group A, Power Dynamos are pointless, while Zesco United is also bottom-placed with zero points in Group D.

Sakala played for Zanaco when they reached the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup in 2010.
Speaking to Bolanews exclusively, Makundika said, “This phase is a different atmosphere altogether, so players must be very cautious in terms of game management and ball circulation. It’s a difficult stage with high-profile players. Teams need to have a good organization,” he said.
The former Aguila star coach further said the two Zambian representatives still have a chance to progress.

“Chances are there for as long as they win games and fight for a win or draw away,” he added.
Looking ahead, Power Dynamos will face Rivers United of Nigeria, while Zesco United will battle it out with Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa.
