What should have been a delightful day for Paris Saint Germain following a 2-0 victory over Bayern München was eclipsed by a catastrophic injury.
Footballers often sustain injuries every now and then but this unfortunate incident was difficult to watch.
Jamal Musiala was writhing in pain, with both sets of players in disbelief following the horror injury.
Almost every player that arrived on the scene quicky turned away, Paris Saint-Germain defender Willian Pacho held his head in dismare, desperately requesting that the medics on the touchline could come to the rescue.
Prolific forward Harry Kane was on his knees, checking on Musiala’s state, captain Joshua Kimmich, had a glimpse at 22 year old sensation’s affected left leg but quickly set his sights in the opposite direction in agony.
His foot appeared to be in an unnatural position right at the ankle. The Germany star had to be carefully stretchered off the pitch. It was a painful coming together with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma who caught Musiala’s leg awkwardly.

In the early hours of Sunday, Bayern confirmed that Musiala had fractured his left fibula. Musiala will be on the sidelines for at least four months.
The 22-year-old had just returned to action following a hamstring injury. Bayern coach Vincent Kompany stated ”there are many things in life that are much more important than this (football),” he said. “But for these guys, it’s their life. Jamal lives for this.
“He came back from a setback and then it happens the way it happens and you feel powerless.”
The Germany superstar will return to Münich to undergo surgery and continue his rehabilitation.
