Pasuwa explains FCB Nyasa Big Bullet’s poor league performance

According to him, the present form is also related to the absence of key players who are injured or those departing from the team.

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, Red Arrows opponents in the CAF Champions League next month have won only three games in 12 league matches which is worrying its head coach Kalisto Pasuwa.

Pasuwa, who led his team to victory in all four trophies the previous season, expressed concern over his team’s performance in front of the CAF Champions League.

However, the former Zimbabwe coach said the current form does not promise anything for CAF, but he says he will still talk to his boys to be back in form.

Their current league top goal scorer Patrick Mwaungulu and Lanjesi Nkhoma are attending trials with TP Mazembe.

“Now a good result we get is a draw, which is a worrying development,” he said.

“We did revamp the team [during the transfer window] but we still miss some senior players hence failing to get good results”.

“We need to motivate these guys and give them time; the pressure is too much. Of course, local games are very different to CAF games, but we hope results will come soon,” he said.

Bullets are in position 6 in the league with 17 points. They have three wins, one defeat and 8 draws. Lilongwe based side Silver Strikers lead the Malawi league with 30 points in 12 games. They are yet to face defeat.
