CAPS United head coach Ian Bakala says he is content with a hard-fought point after his side battled to a goalless draw against third-placed TelOne FC in a Week 21 Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League encounter at Rufaro Stadium.
The draw marks a second consecutive draw for the Harare giants, who remain 10th on the log standings.
Zambian defender Chitoshi Chinga featured for the full 90 minutes, helping Makepekepe keep a clean sheet against the third-placed visitors.
Speaking after the match, Bakala admitted it was a difficult contest but praised his players for sticking to the game plan.
“Well, it wasn’t an easy game. This team was doing very well. But I’m just happy that today we got a point. Despite the fact that we needed more, it ended 0-0 and we just have to accept it and focus on the coming game.”
Bakala also expressed satisfaction with the performance of his younger players, who were introduced during the match.

“I’m just happy that every player is pushing. Even the young boys who came in, I think they came in well, which is good for the team. I’m just happy for the small boys — they managed to contain the pressure. Hopefully maybe one or two may be starting this coming game.”
CAPS United now turn their attention to a tough away fixture against fourth placed Ngezi Platinum Stars this Wednesday.
