Just months after he started bankrolling Goshen City Dedza Dynamos, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri side has reached the Castel Challenge Cup final after beating Blue Eagles on penalty shootouts.

Dedza will face FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, who beat Mzuzu City Hammers 2-0 on Sunday to set up an exciting final for a slot in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The referee had added 5 minutes with his side down by a goal. At 94 minutes, his side launched a counter attack in Eagles’ offensive half.

In the dying minutes, Dynamos’ Gift Magola had all the time to slot the ball into the net after lapses in the Eagles defense..

Three of Eagles players missed their spot-kicks to give advantage to Dynamos to win the match 4-3 on penalties.

Bushiri, for the first time witnessed the semi-final match and made a promise.

“My plan is to make Dedza a big club in Malawi and in Africa, we will buy more players,” he said.

The final is set for Bingu stadium on 21st February, 2026.
