After losing to defending champions Red Arrows 1-0 on Sunday, Power Dynamos missed the chance to repeat their 2011 double by winning the Super League and Barclays Cup (ABSA Cup). Arrows made it to the 2025 finals, thanks to a goal by Joseph Phiri for the Airmen.

Oswald Mutapa, the head coach of Power Dynamos, said the defeat will not impact their next two league games.

“You know in football you miss a lot of chances, and they get a goal,” Mutapa said.

Mutapa is confident the log leaders will wrap the title race on home soil against Green Eagles.

“I’m just saying, from talking to the boys, there’s no way they will look down. Disappointed with the result but not disappointed with the way we played.”

“They (fans) should come in numbers. We are playing at home. We need to wrap it at our home stadium, so we need the 12th player so that we get it from our place.”

Two-time ABSA Cup winners, Red Arrows, will come up against record holders, six-time winners, Zesco United, in the 2025 ABSA Cup final slated for 10th May at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
