ZPL National League side, Kafue Celtics football club head coach Carlos Sinyangwe, is optimistic about the team’s chances to claim the top prize in the ABSA Cup.
The Crocs will face Zanaco football club in the Round of 16 on Sunday at Nkoloma Stadium.
Speaking during the pre-match conference, Sinyangwe said he has set his target on winning the main prize.
He said the club was motivated by the fact that the prize was more than what even league winners receive at the end of the season.
“Winning K1.1 million would mean a lot to the team, the club, management, and the players,” Sinyangwe said.
“It’s something that is bigger than what the league gives. So, it’s something that everyone will be happy with. Everyone will be really happy.”
Looking at the game, Sinyangwe said the team has prepared for the upcoming tie against the Bankers set for 15:00 at Nkoloma on Sunday.
He also promised an exciting match in the Lusaka derby.

“We’ve got something that everyone will be happy to see. Whatever the game will show,” he said.
“But I’m sure it will show with football and the confidence the boys have put in, and I’m sure the fans will wish for them to win.”
Winners of this season’s ABSA Cup will walk away with K1.1 million, while the runners-up will take home K450,000.
