The full list of teams qualified for the 2026 Absa Cup has been confirmed following ZESCO United’s 2-1 victory over Zanaco FC in a rescheduled Week 17 MTN Super League fixture.

The result ensured the defending champions, ZESCO United, secured their place in this year’s edition as they look to extend their dominance in Zambia’s premier knockout competition. The Ndola giants remain the most successful side in the tournament’s history, having lifted the Absa Cup title seven times.

This year’s championship will also feature several former winners, including Power Dynamos, who are two-time champions, as well as Red Arrows and Zanaco FC, who have both previously tasted success in the competition.

Clubs such as Kabwe Warriors and Nchanga Rangers will also be eager to go one step further this season after finishing as runners-up in past editions.

The competition will once again showcase a diverse mix of top-flight teams, National League sides, and provincial representatives, underlining the Absa Cup’s reputation as a platform for both elite and emerging clubs across the country.

From the provinces, teams such as Play It Forward (Southern), Mikalile FC (Eastern), Barotse Crocs (Western), Real Nakonde (Muchinga), Teta Football (Northern), Mathkat United (Luapula), Solwezi Mushitala Stars (North-Western), Nampundwe (Lusaka), Forest Myooye (Central) and Zambezi Portland (Copperbelt) have all secured their slots.

The ZPL National League will be represented by Roan United, Makeni All Stars, Kafue Celtics, and Chirundu United.

Meanwhile, the MTN Super League contingent is headlined by Power Dynamos, Red Arrows, Nchanga Rangers, ZESCO United, Kabwe Warriors, Zanaco FC and Mufulira Wanderers, setting the stage for a highly competitive 2026 Absa Cup campaign.
