Elon Musk, the world’s second richest person, is considering a bid for Manchester United before the deadline on Friday.
The owner of Tesla and Twitter has previously stated his desire to acquire Manchester United.
His net worth is estimated to be £157 billion. However, he is expected to be challenged by a number of parties, including Saudi Arabia and the United States.

Musk is a Manchester United fan and one of the few people who can afford to buy the club, according to the Daily Mail UK.
The tech billionaire is thought to be closely monitoring the situation and pondering whether this is an opportunity to buy the 13 times Premier League winners.
Musk has previously stated his desire to purchase United. He tweeted in August 2022, amid protests against the Glazers, that he was interested to buy the English club.
He later revealed that United was his childhood favorite team.
United’s owners, the Glazers, are prepared to sell the club, but only if they were offered in excess of 4 billion pounds (US$4.84 billion), and Musk appears to be on his way to becoming the new owner of one of the world’s most supported clubs.
The deadline for the submission of bids is this Friday.
