Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club head coach Dennis Makinka says his team has worked on improving its finishing as the Mabanga Boys prepare for Saturday’s MTN Super League clash against FC MUZA at Nakambala Stadium in Mazabuka.
Makinka said the team had recovered well from last weekend’s goalless encounter against Makeni All Stars.
“So far, so good. I think we’ve rested well and recovered from the game against Makeni,” Makinka said.
Kansanshi struggled to create and convert chances in their previous outing, saying, “We didn’t create much in the previous game. I think we had a few shots on target. But the few days that we’ve been working on finishing and the final third especially, I think there’s something positive coming out.”
“Don’t underrate FC MUZA” – Makinka.
Makinka expressed confidence that the improvements could help his side secure a positive result against MUZA.
However, the Kansanshi coach warned his players that MUZA remain a dangerous opponent.
He said complacency affected his team in the opening match, stressing greater concentration and respect for their opponents.
“Looking at MUZA, they are a very good team. They play very well. Don’t underrate them,” Makinka said.

He said technical bench has urged the players to forget past results or statistics.
“We’ll talk about results after the final whistle. We don’t need to start saying they’ve never done this. What we are concentrating on is playing to win and not to avoid losing,” he said.
Kansanshi Dynamos’ last visit ended in a 3-0 win over FC MUZA. In the last five meetings, MUZA has beaten the Mabanga Boys once with one draw, while the rest of the matches have gone Kansanshi’s way.
