ZPL Provides Update On Resumption Of League Matches

Zesco United and current league defending champions, Power Dynamos will play earlier due to their CAF commitments.

The Zambian Premier league that is on recess due to the ongoing 2025 AfCON in Morocco will return on 17th January, 2026.

According to a latest update from the Zambian Premier league, the Women’s super league and the men’s national leagues will resume on 10th January, 2026.

And the Women’s national league and the men’s Super league will begin on the 17th of January.

“Zambian Premier League (ZPL) would like to inform all stakeholders of the dates for the resumption of league: Women Super League & Men National League These leagues will resume on Saturday, 10 January 2026” read a statement from ZPL.

It added that “Women National League & MTN Super League. These leagues will resume on Saturday, 17 January 2026”

In the meantime, nine times Zambian champions, Zesco United and current league defending champions, Power Dynamos will play earlier due to their CAF commitments.

The two sides will play their Week 15 respective fixtures on Saturday, 10 January 2026 and Week 16 fixtures on Saturday, 17 January 2026.
