Power Dynamos coach Oswald Mutapa says he holds no grudges and harbours no ill will toward some supporters who turned against him during the team’s difficult period earlier this season.

Power may be league champions today, but there was a time during the season when the team had a dry spell, causing many supporters to call for the sacking of Mutapa.

In the first six games of the season, Power only managed one win, drawing four and losing one, and pressure began to mount on Mutapa, but thankfully, the executive stood by him.

Mutapa has since revealed that he doesn’t hold anything against those who questioned his methods.

“For me the fans have been fantastic; whatever happened [during the season], I have a big heart; it doesn’t hurt me and that is why I salute the supporters,” Mutapa said.

Mutapa hailed his players, the executive, and sponsors for believing in the process.

“I would like to commend the players; they persevered and showed a lot of hard work. Football is a process and they believed in the process… We are grateful to management and sponsors for giving us what we required as a team,” Mutapa said.

Power finished the season with 68 points, five better than Zesco United. They had a record of 20 wins, eight draws, and six defeats.
