Power Dynamos FC hoisted their eighth Zambian Super League title on Saturday after their 1-1 stalemate with Nchanga Rangers on the final matchday.

Following a slow start to his tenure, Oswald Mutapa turned the tide at the Arthur Davies Stadium, leading Aba Yellow to the crown.

BolaNews presents the statistics that defined Power Dynamos’ 2024-25 Super League triumph.

Total Points

68: Power Dynamos FC amassed 68 points during the 2024-25 campaign, beating the tally from their previous title win in 2022-23.

Goals

54: With 54 goals scored, the Kitwe giants were the only side to record over half a century of goals in the Zambian topflight this season.

Goals Conceded

22: Fielding a solid backline throughout the term, Aba Yellow conceded 22 goals in 2024-25. Only ZESCO United FC, with 20, allowed fewer.

15: 15 different players found the back of the net for the Aba Yellow during the 2024-25 season, more than any other side in the top flight.

Cleansheets

12: Willard Mwanza rose to the occasion for Power Dynamos, keeping Lawrence Mulenga out of the starting XI while chalking up 12 clean sheets.

Unbeaten run

10: Mutapa’s side was unplayable during the business end of the season, winning ten consecutive matches from February to April 2025.

Rivalry

9: Closing the gap on arch-rivals Nkana, who have 13 titles, Power Dynamos secured their eighth Zambian Super League title in 2025.

Topscorer

9: Brain Masanyinga, who joined Aba Yellow from Nkwazi FC in 2024, was Power Dynamos’ topscorer in the topflight, netting nine goals. He produced several clutch moments for the Kitwe giants, including the stoppage time goal that clinched the title.

Biggest win

5: Power Dynamos’ biggest victory of the season came at the Arthur Davies in October 2024, when they thrashed Atletico Lusaka 5-0. Aba Yellow gave a football lesson to the newly promoted outfit, who had just schooled Nkana the previous week.
