Green Eagles head coach Kebby Hachipuka admitted his side was aiming for a victory but was left frustrated after missing several chances in their 1-1 draw against Forest Rangers in a Week 30 MTN Super League clash at home.

The result leaves Green Eagles in 10th place with 37 points, as their struggles in the second half of the season continue.

In his post-match reaction, Hachipuka emphasized that despite their intent to win, the outcome was beyond their control.

“We wanted to win, but it’s God who gives the results; there’s nothing we can do,” he said.

He acknowledged improvements in the team’s attack but lamented their missed opportunities.

“There are some changes, though. We’re still missing a lot of chances, as you have seen that we missed two clear chances,” he stated.

After a strong start to the 2024-25 MTN Super League season, Green Eagles have struggled for consistency and now sit just four points above the relegation zone.

The team will now shift focus to their 2025 Absa Cup Round of 16 fixture against Prison Leopards on Sunday at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.
