Zambian club Mufulira Wanderers may lose Malawi striker Emmanuel Saviel, who is considering a loan out due to a lack of playing time.
Saviel, who joined Wanderers in July last year from Malawi’s FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, signed a three-year contract that will keep him at the club until June 30, 2027.
Since his arrival, Saviel, 20, has only played 12 games, starting only three, a move that has disappointed him.
There are two options on the table: terminate his contract or take out a loan to get game time.
According to BolaNews sources, the player has asked Wanderers for a loan out. “That is true; he approached officials asking for a loan out since he is not given game time.
“Officials met and agreed to his request based on conditions set if they will favour the interested team,” said the close source.
Furthermore, the source stated that Wanderers would be much happier if Saviel joined another Zambian team so that they could continue to monitor him and bring him back if his game improves.
However, BolaNews understands that Saviel is interested in returning to Malawi on loan. It is unclear which team he wishes to join in Malawi.
When reached for a comment, he said, “I will talk to you at an appropriate time.”
Wanderers approached Saviel while he was on loan to Civil Service United from Bullets. At Civil, he scored 8 goals in 12 league games.
He has been instrumental for the Malawi U20 national team.
