Fresh from providing an assist in Midtylland’s 3-0 win over UE Santa Coloma in the second round of the Uefa Champions League qualifications after being subbed on in the 46th minute three days ago, Chipolopolo winger Edward Chilufya has continued to impress following his return to Denmark after a season on loan to Swedish side BK Hacken.
Today, the 24-year-old made his first start of the season for Midtylland who drew 2-2 with Nordsjælland in their second Danish Superligaen match.
Chilufya had an impressive shift, playing 66 minutes and providing an assists for his side’s equalizing goal scored by Danishi midfielder Sørensen in the 45th minute right before the halftime break.
The Chipolopolo rapid winger has now been directly involved in three goals in his last four games for Midtylland.
Chikufya has been in fine form since going on loan to Hacken where he scored eight (8) goals and two (2) assists in 26 games across all competitions.
He is also the last Chipolopolo player to score for the national team, doing so against Morocco last month in a 2-1 Fifa World Cup qualifier.
It was his first goal for the senior national team in 13 appearances since making his debut in 2020.
