On Saturday, Mukuru Wanderers supporters called for the head coach, Burundian tactician Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan, to be fired.

The is after the team suffered back-to-back defeats to Silver Strikers and Mzuzu City Hammers in the TNM Super League.

Wanderers are in fourth place with 12 points on the log after winning three of their eight league games.

Following a defeat on Saturday, hundreds of Wanderers supporters blocked the bus from leaving Mzuzu Stadium demanding players to walk.

The supporters were chanting songs asking officials to fire Ramadhan who has just spent three months at the club.

“Ramadhan achoke, Ramadhan achoke [Ramadhan should leave the team]” they chanted.

Amidst this, Ramadhan and his technical bench refused to grant interviews to the media after the match as the whole team rushed to the dressing room.

At the start of the season Wanderers president Dr. Thom Mpinganjira warned their supporters to stop threatening players saying if that continues, he will hire the Police Mobile Force to deal with unruly supporters.

“I have come to bring happiness to the team, I want to make Wanderers a better team and we will see many supporters joining our team because they will be looking for happiness,” he said on arrival at Chileka Airport in Malawi in March this year.
