Kabwe Warriors Football Club captain Clement Mundia is optimistic that his team can make it to the 2024 ABSA Cup final match.
Warriors trounced Indeni 5-0 at Nkoloma Stadium to go to the semifinals and secure a match with FC MUZA.
Mundia has been brilliant for his side, which occupies fifth position on the log with 38 points from 27 matches.
In their Week 28 fixture, Warriors beat Kansanshi Dynamos 2-1 at Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium on Wednesday.
Speaking to Bolanews exclusively, he said preparations are going on well and the morale is high in camp.
“Preparation for the game against FC MUZA has been going well, so far so good, the team is in good shape and the morale has been high since the time we qualified for the ABSA Cup competition,” he said.
“The preparations for the competition started the same week we played Lumwana Radiants (1-0), and we know the team we are is stubborn and a well composed team full of great young talent with the coach who knows what he does,” Mundia said.
The people’s “Magnificent” captain said the team is not under pressure, as their primary focus is to reach the finals.
“Our focus is to defeat FC MUZA in the semis and reach the ABSA Cup final,” concluded Mundia.

With the race for the league title farfetched, for Kabwe Warriors, they will be eyeing their first ABSA Cup title.
