Nkana football club have recorded their first win of the season while Kabwe Warriors beat Zesco United to go top of the Zambian Premier League.
Nkana, 13-times league winners currently guided by Ian Bakala have edged Prison Leopards 1-0 to end their 9-game winless run.
A 36-minute goal by Harrison Chisala courtesy of Erick Yema’s assist also ensured Bakala’s first win as Kalampa Coach.
In Ndola, Kabwe Warriors saw off Zesco United 2-1 to win their fourth game of the season.
Mutombo Mwamba’s brace saw him score in either half to score in his second game straight to take his tally to 3 goals this season.
The win also saw Warriors take advantage of Red Arrows 1-1 draw against Konkola Blades to climb top of the League.
With a 1-1 draw against Napsa Stars, MUZA FC extended their league winning streak to 9 games.
Andrew Phiri’s 22nd minute penalty was canceled out in the 31st minute by Adams Zikuru’s strike.

In the meantime, Green Eagles forced a 2-2 draw in Choma coming from behind by two goals to deny Trident football club a historic victory in their first-ever top division league match.
