A Fredrick Mwimanzi own goal for Napsa Stars in the 66th minute gave Red Arrows the victory over the pensioners’, who suffered their second loss of the season.

Napsa was hoping to build on their impressive performance from their 3-0 victory over Zanaco, but Arrows were up to the challenge.

After losing 1-0 to City rivals Red Arrows on Saturday at the Sunset Stadium, Perry Mutapa’s team has already dropped two games this year.

Mutapa, however, believes that the squad would have won the game had they not lost many opportunities.

“Good game of football, but I believe we would have won the game in the first half we had chances to win the game in the first half. Red arrows had not shot on target in the first half I feel it’s a game we would have won.

“Very disappointed we were on top of the game. The worst thing could have been a draw in this game,” said Mutapa.

In the meantime, the former Forest Rangers manager urged the team to win the game in the first half and cautioned players to avoid engaging in football conspiracies.

“I think we should wrap up the game in the first half if there is some conspiracy it must stop. We keep on pushing and make sure we utilize the chances we have,” concluded Mutapa.

While Arrows climb to the top of the league standings with 11 points, Napsa stay in 12th place with just 5 points.
