The Bruce Mwape-coached Zambia Women’s National Team are set to face Morocco in their second friendly match, slated for Moulay Hassan Stadium in Rabat tomorrow.
The Copper Queens, who won the first friendly 2-0 last Friday, will look to win again tomorrow ahead of the COSAFA Championship and 2024 Paris Olympic Games qualifier against Mali next month.
About Cosafa, the former Nchanga Rangers boss said his team will not underrate their opponents but take each game as it comes.“We intend to make a few changes because we would like to make sure everyone is given a chance so that people can see that even the technical bench should be able to assess the players individually ahead of the Cosafa tournament
Mwape said.
Zambia is placed in Group B alongside Mozambique, Comoros, and Angola. We are not taking our opponents lightly; we are preparing for the Olympic qualifying matches and the Wafcon tournament, so we will take the games at the Cosafa seriously, and we will make sure we prepare the players adequately so that we defend the Cosafa title.
All teams have improved; we will not underrate them. We will make sure we play according to our plans so that we qualify for the finals of the Cosafa and the Wafcon.
Added Mwape.
