Benjamin Mendy has wasted no time returning to his football career, five days after he was cleared of rape charges. Last Friday, Mendy was found not guilty of rape and attempted rape by a jury at Chester Crown Court.
He now signs a two year contract with Lorient and will wear the No 5 jersey.
The 2018 World Cup winner returns to French football for the first time since leaving Monaco to join City in 2017.
Mendy won the World Cup in 2018 and featured 75 times for City over six seasons.
