In a sensational twist, Liverpool have overtaken Chelsea in the race to sign Moises Caicedo by outbidding the Blues. The bid is unofficial but the Red’s have opened talks with Brighton. Reports Dailymail.
News comes after Chelsea seemingly leapfrogged Liverpool in the race to sign Southampton’s Romeo Lavia. The Blues submitted a £48m offer for the Belgian midfielder last night surpassing the Reds offer of £45m for him.
Unfortunately for LFC fans, it’s reported that Caicedo’s preferred club is at Stamford Bridge and a £100m transfer is still expected to be tied up by the end of the week.
