Bolabet Zambia Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts to establish a multi-facility sports centre at Heroes Stadium in Lusaka. The signing ceremony was held at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre.

The ambitious project aims to promote youth empowerment, sports excellence, and community development through the provision of modern training facilities, mentorship programmes, and wellness initiatives.

Bolabet described the partnership as a shared vision to harness sport as a tool for national transformation and pledged both financial and technical support for the project.

“As a proudly Zambian company, Bolabet is committed to ensuring that this project not only serves the present but also inspires future generations to believe that their dreams are valid, their talents matter, and their country supports them,” said Ray Kumwenda, Bolabet Chief Financial Officer, during the signing ceremony.

He added that the company’s investment would help uplift communities, transform lives, and inspire young leaders to shape Zambia’s future through sport.

Meanwhile, Minister of Youth, Sport, and Arts Elvis Nkandu thanked Bolabet for partnering with the government in supporting the country’s sports infrastructure agenda.

“As government, we thank Bolabet for coming on board to finance this project. This is significant because such investments create jobs, grow the economy, and contribute to sporting excellence,” Nkandu said.

“Kudos to Bolabet, a Zambian company that places the interest of the nation first,” he added.

The multi-facility sports centre to be built at Heroes Stadium will feature a basketball court and other sporting infrastructure designed to nurture talent and promote active lifestyles among Zambia’s youth.
