Kasper Schmeichel leaves OCG Nice and signs a one year contract with RSC Anderlecht. The contract includes the option for another year, reports The Sun.

The former Leicester City goalkeeper had his contract terminated by OCG Nice on deadline day.

The 36-year-old shot stopper was frustrated when he lost his first choice spot at Nice to Marcin Bulka.

Anderlecht finished in 11th place in the Belgian Pro League last season. They will be looking to improve with their new addition this term.

The Danish goalkeeper made 479 appearances for the Foxes and played a key role in helping them win the Premier League in 2016.
