Zesco United, the nine-time Zambian champions, defeated Power Dynamos 2-0 at home to regain control of the Zambian Premier League under temporary coach Emmanuel Siwale.

Zesco has advanced to 25 points after winning seven of their last twelve games, giving them a three-point lead at the top.

Power Dynamos led the table heading into the Week 12 encounter, but their five-game winning streak came to an end with the loss at Ndola’s Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Kabwe Warriors, who registered a 1-nil away victory over strugglers, Lumwana Radiants, also have 22 points, the same as Buffaloes but have a superior goal difference.

The Oswald Mutapa-drilled side, Power Dynamos, dropped to fourth and level on points with Green Buffaloes and Kabwe Warriors but trailed in goal difference.

Zanaco FC began life with a 0-0 tie away at Nkwazi’s Edwin Imboela Stadium without coach Wedson Nyrienda, who left after a poor showing.

Dabid Chilufya, who joined the team as a consultant assistant coach in October, was in charge of the Bankers.

In his first league game as coach of Nchanga Rangers, George Lwandamina led his team to a 1-0 victory over Red Arrows, the reigning champions, at Nchanga Stadium.
