Zanaco Football Club has confirmed that refurbishment works are currently underway at Sunset Stadium as the club prepares for the 2025/2026 MTN Super League season set to kick off in August.

In a public notice issued by the club’s media team, Zanaco FC announced that the ongoing upgrades are part of efforts to enhance the matchday experience for fans and improve facilities for players and staff.

“Our goal is to provide an enhanced stadium experience for players and supporters alike, ensuring a safer, more modern, and comfortable environment for all future matches and events,” the club stated.

The refurbishment project includes improvements to seating, pitch maintenance, changing room facilities, and general infrastructure. According to the notice, the works are progressing well and are expected to be completed by July 31, 2025.

During the refurbishment period, Sunset Stadium will remain temporarily closed to matches, training sessions, and public access. The club acknowledged that this may cause inconvenience but expressed gratitude to fans for their patience and understanding.

Zanaco FC emphasized its commitment to delivering a top-tier football experience and views the upgrades as a crucial step toward achieving that goal.

“We look forward to welcoming you back to a revitalized Sunset Stadium very soon, ready to cheer on the Bankers in the new season,” the club added.

Supporters have been encouraged to follow Zanaco FC’s official social media pages and website for further updates on the progress of the renovations.
