Napsa Stars Football Club head coach Sipho Mumbi says the team is targeting to return to winning ways following a 1-0 defeat to Mufulira Wanderers.
Napsa will welcome Red Arrows in a Lusaka derby at REIZ Arena on Saturday.
The Pensioners registered a 3-0 win over Nchanga Rangers before suffering a 1-0 away loss at Shinde Stadium before the internatoonal break.
On the other hand, Red Arrows ended Zesco United’s unbeaten run via a 2-0 scoreline in week 7 of the Zambian Super League.
In an interview, Mumbi has noted a lack of consistency from his side that has picked a mixed bag of results since the start of the season.
Mumbi acknowledges that they will be playing tough opponents who are coming off a confidence-boosting win over Zesco United.
“Red Arrows is a seasoned team, champions; we are going to make sure we do our home and try, but all means to pick maximum points; we are playing at home, which should count for something. Overall, we just have to make sure that whatever we do in training, we put in on the day of the game,” Mumbi said.
“Every game is different, a very big setback in Mufulira; we were hoping we could pick up after winning against Nchanga; we were hoping we picked up with the consistency, but unfortunately we lost; we just have to make amends and win this game.”
In the last five matches between the two sides, Red Arrows managed to win three matches, while Napsa Stars claimed one win, including a goalless draw.
The pensioners are in 12th position with 8 points from seven matches, while the Airmen are 6th with 11 points from six matches so far.
