FC MUZA head coach Lameck Banda says his team is focused on building consistency as they prepare for Saturday’s home clash against Power Dynamos in Mazabuka.
The Elegant Dynamites have had a slow start to the season, managing only two wins from their first seven league matches.
In a pre-match interview, Banda emphasized the importance of securing all three points at home to improve their standing on the league table.
“We need to consistently win games for us to find ourselves in the desired position, which is the top four. Without consistency, it will be difficult for us to climb the ladder,” said Banda.
Currently sitting in 9th place, MUZA is aiming for a must-win match on Saturday, with Banda predicting an exciting contest.
“The team is ready. We want by all means to gain maximum points in tomorrow’s game. The boys are fired up, morale is high, so just expect an exciting game tomorrow,” he added.
MUZA heads into this encounter after a hard-fought 1-0 win over Green Buffaloes before the international break.
Power Dynamos, on the other hand, are coming off the back of a dominant 5-0 victory over newly promoted Atletico Lusaka, the biggest win in the league so far this season.
The match promises to be an exciting matchup, with MUZA FC remaining unbeaten against Power Dynamos since 2022. The teams have drawn three consecutive matches, with MUZA winning their last home meeting 3-2 in the previous campaign.
“We are expecting an explosive encounter. We just need to build on what we left against Green Buffaloes,” Banda concluded.
The game will kick off at 15:00 hours on Saturday at Nakambala Stadium in Mazabuka.
