Power Dynamos striker Ismael Ankobo has expressed confidence that his club can secure a domestic double this season.
Ankobo netted a brace in the 23rd and 33rd minutes to steer Power Dynamos to a 2-0 victory over Kabwe Warriors in the Absa Cup quarterfinals on Sunday.
His standout performance earned him the Man of the Match award, and the Kitwe-based side will now face Red Arrows in the semi-finals.
Reflecting on his contribution, Ankobo revealed he had been determined to score, especially after missing several chances in the previous match.
“I’m so happy for the goals, and I thank God for giving me the strength to score. I knew [I would score] because in the last game I missed many chances, but in this game I stayed focused,” Ankobo said.

The 27-year-old Congolese striker is optimistic about the team’s pursuit of both the league title and the Absa Cup.
“We will take all – the league and the Absa Cup. We are winning them,” he declared.
Power Dynamos’ next fixture is the much-anticipated Kitwe derby against arch-rivals Nkana Football Club this Sunday. A victory in that clash would boost their chances of clinching an eighth MTN Super League title.
In fact, if they win and Zesco drop points against Lumwana Radiants, they will be crowned champions.
