Kabwe Warriors Chairman Mutale Ng’andu says the club is aiming to compete in Continental football this season.
Warriors have won 11 games, drawing eight and losing 4 games in the 2024-25 campaign. They are second on the table with 41 points, two behind leaders, Zesco United.

However, since the departure of head Coach Numba Mumamba, the Club has not engaged any Coach, but has decided to continue with assistant coach Happy Sichikolo.
The Magnificent people’s team have not won the league title since 1987 and will be hoping to claim their sixth league title this Season.
After finishing fourth in the 2020-21 Super League, Warriors last competed in the CAF Confederations Cup in 2021. They were eliminated in the first round of the competition.

Club Chairman Mutale Ng’andu expressed his enthusiasm for the team’s participation in Continental football and expressed his satisfaction with the team’s consistency in an exclusive interview with Bolanews.
“So far so good, every soccer enthusiast can attest to the fact that Kabwe Warriors is doing well this Season. Am so happy for the upwards trajectory thus far,”he said.
“When we started the pre-season for the 2024/25 Soccer Season, we were preparing the team to challenge for the ABSA Cup, league title and represent the Country at the Continental level, with that at the back of our mind, we had to consider all factors required for us to effectively participate in the Continental football. We are more than prepared for the Continental football,” Ng’andu confidently said.
In the meantime, Kabwe Warriors will face their former coach, Mumamba when they host Zanaco in their ZPL Week 24 match at Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium on Saturday.
