Despite sitting just four points above the relegation zone in 9th place, Mumbi is confident NAPSA will avoid relegation.

NAPSA Stars are targeting their rescheduled Week 31 fixture against FC MUZA as a big chance to return to winning ways. The match will take place on Saturday at Nakambala Stadium in Mazabuka.

NAPSA are coming from a 2-0 home defeat to log leaders Power Dynamos, a result that extended their winless run to two games.

“Very big opportunity for us to bounce back having lost our last game against Power Dynamos,” head coach Sipho Mumbi said in a pre-match interview.

Mumbi added that his team has prepared well for the match against FC MUZA, a side that shares a lot of similarities with them this season.

“One morale booster is having Larry back in the team after sustaining an injury last week. Everything has been positive from the players and technical bench — we are ready to go,” Mumbi said.

Mumbi is unconcerned about his club falling into the relegation zone with four games remaining in the Super League season.

“I believe in our team. We are going to survive” he said.

Mumbi also called on NAPSA fans to continue rallying behind the team as they push to finish the season strongly.

“They should continue what they have been doing. It hasn’t been easy; it has been a turbulent season. As we wind down the league, we need them more.”
