FC MUZA coach Mathews Njovu has said his side does not fear league leaders Zesco United ahead of their meeting at the Nakambala Stadium in Mazabuka this weekend.
Zesco, the former champions, seem to be getting their mojo back. On Sunday, they managed a 3-1 win over second-from-bottom Nkana to move to the summit of the log with 25 points.
The George Lwandamina-drilled side have collected 10 points from a possible 15 in their previous five games and boast of being on a three-match winning run coming into Saturday’s game.
For MUZA, they have not been operating at full battery and Zesco’s form is their envy. Last season’s runners-up only had one win in their last five games, posting three draws and one defeat.
Their consolation is that last season’s meeting in Mazabuka saw the home side pick a 1 – 0 win courtesy of an Andrew Phiri 34th-minute penalty.

Njovu is under no illusion that things will be easy at the weekend, but fear is the last thing on his mind.
“Zesco is a tricky game; they have that experience. We respect them but we won’t fear them,” Njovu said.
Following their 1-all draw with defending champions Power Dynamos, MUZA sits fourth on the table with 22 points, three behind Zesco.
