On Sunday, in Week 28 fixture will visit Red Arrows at Nkoloma stadium, as they seek to push for the league title.

Magnificent Kabwe Warriors are occupying third place with 43 points from 26 games of the 2025-26 Zambian Premier League season.

Ahead of this away fixture, Warriors smashed Mufulira Wanderers 2-0 on Wednesday at the Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium to move to third place on the log.

However, Warriors were eliminated from the round of 16, 2026 ABSA Cup tournament by a national division one side, Chirundu United.

Speaking to Bolanews exclusively, Kabwe Warriors Chief Executive Officer, Chilombo Chabwe said the team is targeting to win the league title.

“We need to push. The championship lead is not yet over; we are number three on the table currently, so we need to push.” “Football can be funny sometimes; we just need to push and go for it,” he said.

“We want to win the championship; We just urge the technical bench to rally behind the boys so that we can push whoever wins; then so be it, but we are still in contention, but we still need to push and win games,” added the CEO.

He also acknowledged the role of the technical bench.

“The coaching staff has been doing a fantastic job, our sponsors have been coming through, and the executive board has been supporting the team. Despite the challenges that we are facing, at least we have been pushing the boys psychologically; they are ready. That’s why you see they are doing what they are doing,” he concluded.
