Kabwe Warriors will host Kansanshi Dynamos at Godfrey Chitalu Stadium on Saturday in a Week 18 fixture, an encounter of two sides with contrasting results in their respective Week 17 ties.
Mabanga Boys lost by a goal to nil away at Nkana while Magnificent People’s team beat FC MUZA via the same score at home.
Warriors are targeting a top four finish as the league hits the first half and will ensure to collect maximum points at home.
But Dennis Makinka, Kansanshi Dynamos coach, says the team is ready to stage a strong performance against their opposition.
“Our opponents, the legendary team Kabwe Warriors, we expect a very tough game; they are coming from a win, and we lost our game“
Kansanshi are 15th placed on the log with 17 points from 17 games whilst Warriors is sixth with 26 points from the same number of matches played.
Against Warriors, Makinka is expecting a tough match.
“So we expect a very tough game, and they are also pushing to go in the top four. So I think it’s going to be very difficult. I think you know how they play, especially at their home ground, with the fans behind them,” he said.
“But of course, yeah, we are ready for the game; we have prepared well, especially coming from the loss. A lapse in concentration in the last minutes against Nkana, and we lost the game”
Nine points separate the two sides in the log standings.
“We are playing away, you know. In the second round, every point is important, so if we get one point, very good; if we get three points, excellent,” concluded the coach.
