Nchanga Rangers Football Club captain Victor Chabu says the team has set a benchmark of finishing in the top four of the 2025/26 Zambian Super League season.

The Chingola-based side currently sits third on the table with 29 points from 17 matches, six points behind joint log leaders Red Arrows and Power Dynamos, who are both on 35 points but separated by goal difference.

The Brave have recorded eight wins, five draws, and four defeats so far this season. However, Rangers suffered a minor setback last weekend after going down 1–0 to Konkola Blades.

Chabu has been in impressive form, playing a key role in helping the team maintain their place in the top four.

Speaking to BolaNews exclusively, Chabu also praised head coach George Lwandamina for his positive impact on the team.

“The team is doing well because the coach has introduced a system, and every player needs to get into that system. All the players have started to adjust to the system that Coach Lwandamina has brought. If we continue following the system that has been introduced, we will continue doing well,” he said.

“We have set targets as a team, and our main objective as a team is to finish in the top four of the league standings, of course, with the ambition of playing continental football. We will continue working hard so that we achieve our set targets of the season,” added Chabu.

Nchanga Rangers last won the league title in 1998 and will be eager to end their 28-year wait for silverware with their third league title; their first came in 1980.

The Chingola outfit will face Mutondo Stars in their next Super League fixture on Saturday.
