Keegan Syabeene, head coach of the Indeni Football Club, said his team did not feel pressured during Saturday’s Week 25 MTN Super League game against Zesco United at the Indeni Sports Complex.
In a Ndola derby, the two teams drew 0-0, leaving Zesco United as the log leaders and the Oilo Boys in last place.

In a post-match reaction, Syabeene said it was Zesco United who were under pressure to deliver as they sit on top.
“I think, looking at it being a derby, you know, it results like those I expected. But I feel, I think the pressure was on Zesco, not on us,” Syabeene said.
He adds, “And throughout the week, I think we worked so much on the defense because we’ve been scoring and not defending very well. But I think from our side, the biggest positive is what we tried to put up in training. I think there’s a big improvement from what we did in training, coming and transitioning into the game.“
Despite playing excellent defense against Zesco United, who were on a winning streak, Syabeene said it was unfortunate that his team was unable to score.

The ultimate objective, according to the coach, was to score as many points as possible at home.
“It’s a pity. We didn’t just find that goal that always comes. But at the end of the day,” he said.
“I think my satisfaction wouldn’t really come from getting a point from the league leaders. My satisfaction probably would come from at least getting a draw after a string of losses. I think that’s where my satisfaction comes from.”
