This weekend teams will eye qualification to the 2024 ABSA Cup championship battle. In order to keep the ABSA Cup that they won the previous season, defending champion Forest Rangers will fight for maximum points this weekend in their league match.
Four points from the top 6, Forest will aim for back-to-back wins as they take on log leaders Zesco United.
Fole Malembe will have a difficult test against a free-scoring United team looking to solidify control of the title race, buoyed by their 1-0 success over Power Dynamos last weekend.
Mwenya Chipepo’s team will be concerned about the talent that Lwandamina’s team possesses because they have lost three of their five games against Zesco United and drawn two.
Their most recent triumph over the nine-time League Champions was in 2020, when Adama Zikuru’s goal in the first half of the game gave them the lead.
Elsewhere, struggling Nkana will play Kansanshi Dynamos, while second-placed Nkwazi will play Napsa Stars, who are eager for points to climb out of the bottom four.
