Despite transfer rumors, FC MUZA striker Biston Banda maintains his commitment to the Mazabuka-based team.
After the 2024–25 season ended, Banda, who had previously played for Power Dynamos, was apparently drawing interest from a number of MTN Super League clubs.
By committing to MUZA ahead of the upcoming season, the striker has, for the time being, put an end to transfer rumors.
“I will be joining the team for preseason next week as I’m still on a contract with FC MUZA“, he stated.
Regardless his personal goal, Banda admitted that he fell short of his goal tally last season but remains determined to improve his output and compete for individual honours in the 2025-26 season.
“I could have scored more than 15 goals last season if I converted the chances I got,” Banda reflected.
“Next season, I want to challenge for the Golden Boot by God’s grace and be the Player of the Season — that’s my target. I will work hard on my technique and finishing to overcome the weaknesses I noticed. It’s hard work for the season ahead.”
