Ex – Zesco United striker Nchimunya Mweetwa anticipates the Honor Janza will improve the former Super League champions following his re-appointment as the club’s technical director.
Janza formerly held the job of technical director at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, which was confirmed earlier this month.
Mweetwa who worked as one of Janza’s assistants at Red Arrows described the former Chipolopolo trainer as a football man.
“Expectation are always high when you bring someone of that caliber in the club,” Mweetwa said, “I believe in Janza and I feel he has what it takes to improve the club,”
The upcoming season is a big season for Zesco who will be returning to the Confederation Cup while their women’s team will be playing at the COSAFA Women’s Championship which is the qualifier for the Women’s Champions League.
Janza’s role is not restricted to the men’s team. Mweetwa described Zambia as a resource.
“He is a huge resource that we have in the country. The advantage for Zesco is that he is not a stranger at that club. He has played there, he has coached them, and he has been their coach before.
“I am happy to see Janza back at the helm as Technical Director. I believe his vast experience and knowledge will help Zesco United return to its glory days” Mweetwa said.
