Cameroonian midfielder Stephen Ikpeme, newly signed by Nchanga Rangers, is optimistic about making his Super League debut in Zambia.
Ikpeme an U23 international has set his eyes to assist the Chingola based side to win their fourth Zambian Super League title.
He signed a two-year contract with the Brave Nchanga Rangers during the preseason. The Cameroonian international signed from Fovu de Baham to the Chingola-based team.
The West African will be looking to push brave Rangers back to its former glory and secure a spot in the Super League for all time.
Speaking to Bolanews exclusively, Ikpeme said he was optimistic and believes the team is ready to compete.
“We are ready to give our best and we believe that this season we will not just play for playing sake, but we will play with an objective to winning a trophy and putting Nchanga Rangers in a place that it shall be recognized for series of decades and that’s why we have been working massively for this to happen as the season begins,” he said.
“Am bringing my own ability to help the team grow and am happy to join this winning team. I am looking forward to working together with everybody else and achieving the set goals,” said Ikpeme.
Nchanga Rangers recently played two friendly matches against Zesco United as part of preparations for the upcoming Season. The first match ended in a draw; the second game saw Rangers lose 1 nil.

In the upcoming season, Nchanga Rangers will open their season with a match against Mazabuka based side, FC MUZA.
