In their week 19 matches contested across Zambia on Saturday, Red Arrows and Power Dynamos, the current reigning champions of the Zambian Super League, emerged victorious.
The greatest winners, Arrows, faced FC MUZA with the goal of closing the distance on league leaders Zesco United, who play Prison Leopards on Sunday, to one point.
At the Nakambala stadium in Mazabuka, Arrows defeated FC MUZA 4-1 thanks to a hat-trick by Saddam Phiri.
The visitors took a 14-minute lead thanks to a goal from Paul Katema, who scored the only goal in Arrows’ victory against Nkana the previous weekend. Phiri then completed his treble in the 34th, 83rd, and 88th minutes. In the fiftieth minute, MUZA’s hitman Andrew Phiri scored a consolation goal.
Arrows have 35 points, behind Zesco (36) who came extend the lead to four points with a victory over Leopards.
In the capital city Lusaka, current defending Champions Power Dynamos picked up a 3-0 thumping over Nkwazi football club. Aba Yellow scored through Andy Boyeli 46’, Mathews Mashimikilo (OG) 69th, and Austin Muwowo 86th minute.

In the Lusaka derby NAPSA Stars came out tops with a 2-1 win over Green Buffaloes. Napsa took the lead through a 13th minute strike by Musonda Kapembwa then Buffaloes clinched a 45th equalizer via John Kosamu, which was quickly cancelled out by Pinoki Vuvu a minute later.
