In order to catch up to league leaders Zesco United, Red Arrows head coach Chisi Mbewe has pushed his players to continue winning games.
In an attempt to reclaim the top spot in the Zambian Super League standings, Arrows will play FC MUZA on Saturday, January 6, in their week 19 match at Nakambala Stadium.
Following a 1-0 victory over Nkana FC the previous weekend, the Airmen will look to build on this success as they take on FC MUZA at home.
Mbewe warned the players to exercise caution and not allow the opposition enough room to get through during a press conference on Friday morning.
“We need to be a bit cautious we are not going to give FC MUZA any space because we know they are sharp and energetic.”
“We need to remain consistent in winning games and make sure we put pressure on Zesco so that we go back to the top of the league table,” he added.
With 32 points from 18 games played, Red Arrows sit four points behind League leaders Zesco United in second place.
The Africa Cup of Nations, which begins on January 13, 2024, will take place when the Zambian Super League is off.
The mid-season recess will run from 15th January to 12th February 2024.
