The Aftermonth of the Zambian Super League week 6 match on Saturday afternoon between Nchanga Rangers FC and Nkana FC was marred with violence in Chingola.

Nkana players and some members of their technical bench pounced on referee, Audrick Nkole after he blew the final whistle to signal the end of the match.

The players were seen to protest against the referee who they accused of bias officiating as the match went beyond the initial four minutes additional time which led Nchanga Rangers equalize in the last minute and force a draw game.

They claimed Nkole prolonged the match to allow Rangers equalize in the 98th minute when only 4 minutes were added.

Nkana took the lead in the 67th minute through Alex Ngo’nga from a spot kick after they were awarded a penalty but just when they thought an away win was on the way, Rangers’ Ronald Chibwe scored from a Mangani Banda rebound in the 98th minute to end the match one-all-draw.

Angly scenes followed after the match as the Nkana players where caught on camera attempting to harm the referee in protest which later triggered a clash of fans from both teams.

According to the Nkana FC official Facebook page, Nchanga Rangers fans also attacked their team bus, smashed windows and injured one player, Patrick Ngondwe who has since been rushed to the hospital.

There is no official statement yet from the two clubs and the league organizers, the Football Association of Zambia.
