Red Arrows football club head coach Chisi Mbewe believes his team is aiming to collect maximum points against Nchanga Rangers on Saturday.
The MTN Super League resumes this weekend after a two-week international break.
The Airmen will return to action against Nchanga Rangers, who recently appointed George Lwandamina as their new head coach, at Nchanga Stadium in Chingola.
The defending champions have been inconsistent this season and will be hoping to return to winning ways this time.
Arrows has this season won five, drawn three and lost three matches. They are in fifth place with 18 points after 11 matches.
Speaking to the club’s media, head coach Chisi Mbewe is confident the team will win three points.
“A very interesting and tricky encounter against Nchanga Rangers, but this is a game that we need to maximize the three points.
“So far so good. I am happy with the way the players have responded to the first training session and I think each and every player is looking forward to the game,” said Mbewe.
Meanwhile, captain Saddam Yusuf Phiri says the team is determined to improve on their recent poor league performance.
“Tricky game. The fact that we are away in Chingola means it won’t be an easy game for us but we have to fight. We haven’t had a good run in the recent weeks; we need to push up and collect the three points,” said Phiri.
A victory for Arrows will propel them into the top three of the league standings.
