Newly appointed Nchanga Rangers Football Club head coach George Lwandamina has called for discipline among the squad to turn around the season.
The Chingola side, which recently hired a new technical bench led by Lwandamina, is currently in 15th place on the log standings. They have accumulated 10 points from two wins, four draws, and five defeats.
When he was officially introduced to the players, Lwandamina emphasized the need for players to remain focused.
“The chair has already spoken about the discipline aspect…. That’s what we’ve read from you players; you are so young and vibrant; you have a very wide horizon. You can travel places, but it’s the commitment,” Lwandamina said.
He also explained the technical bench has come in to help the players play better and improve.
“Football is the easiest game, which no one can play. But the most difficult part is how to play, and that’s where we come in. You do your football, and we try to put you in a way that football at the entire Rangers will be able to appreciate; that’s our key role,” Lwandamina stated.
Nchanga Rangers President Shapi Shachinda has urged the players to work with the technical bench led by Lwandamina. Lwandamina, who has won multiple trophies, aims to restore the club’s pride.
“We have one of the most decorated Zambian coaches in terms of trophies and achievements at the continental level, and I have no doubt that he is going to propel this team to the next level of our success. So let’s work very hard and make sure that we bring success to this stadium,” Shachinda said.
