After a one all draw against FC Leopards, Nowell Phiri, FC MUZA head coach said that the Mazabuka based side have revived their chances of playing in the 2025 ABSA Cup tournament.
The draw at Nakambala stadium in a Week 14 league fixture on Sunday was FC MUZA’s second in a row following a scoreless draw away at Kansanshi Dynamos.
In the 2025-26 season, FC MUZA have registered six wins, four draws and lost three times, so far.
The draw result pushed the Elegant Dynamites to 5th place with 23 points, moving close to securing an ABSA Cup slot.
Speaking to journalists after the match, Phiri said, “I think the game was fair; we dominated in the first half and even created scoring chances, but we failed to convert,” he said.
“It was a tough game; you know how Leopards are.. When you are playing a team that is below the top eight, it’s always difficult,” added the coach.

“It’s a very important point, meaning that we are moving closer to ABSA Cup qualification,” noted the coach.
The technical bench at FC MUZA will use the upcoming AfCON break to reorganize and work on their shortcomings.
“I think what is important is we continue building where we have stopped so that at least we improve in the coming games,” concluded Phiri.
